Community Giving

Whole Foods Market is excited to announce our Small Change Adds Up Charitable program! Bring your reusable bag and receive 10 cents off your purchase or donate your 10 cents to benefit Farmer’s Against Hunger. Farmers Against Hunger is affiliated with the New Jersey Agricultural Society and is dedicated to collecting and distributing surplus fruits and vegetables from New Jersey to those in need through local community organizations. So remember to bring your reusable bags, because small change adds up and gives way to change in our local community and global landscape. Thank you for your donation and for shopping with Whole Foods Market.

At Whole Foods Market we value the communities in which we do business; this is one of our Core Values!

Our Community 5% Days are one meaningful way we give back to our community. On designated days throughout the year a total of 5% of the day's net sales are donated to local non-profit organizations. Customers help support our selected organizations just by shopping on these 5% Days.

Another way we help is by making donations of gift cards or our products to some of the non-profit groups in the neighborhoods surrounding our store. Recent recipients include:

  • Habitat for Humanity Bergen County
  • Hackensack River Keeper
  • MS Center at Holy Name Hospital
  • Center for Food Action
  • Pascack Valley Hospital
  • Jersey Cares, Inc.

If you are interested in requesting a donation, you can download our forms here or pick up a Donation Request form at our Customer Service desk. Send your formal request letter along with your 501c3 form to the store, or fax it to the Marketing Team Leader at 201-941-4085. Only non-profit organizations are eligible for donations and a copy of your 501c3 form is required. All requests must be made 30 days prior to your event.
