A bargain class and great big bowl of fire and spice, that's what's on the menu tonight. Andrew Cassesse, the team leader of our grocery department, claims his Chili is the best in the world. Tonight he'll go up against Chef Joy for a Chili cook off. You decide the winner. We'll do a white Chili too and to add pizzazz to the evening, we're gonna cook a whole chicken inside a watermelon. Mmmmmm... All those M's add up to good taste. Tonight the Meat Crew shows us how to cook quick with pork, beef and chicken. Side dishes will be a snap too. It's September and we're back at it. Time for dinner to fly to the table.

Meet Joy, Our Salúd Chef
- Joy Stroh is a graduate of New York Restaurant School and HB Actors Studio. She has been performing and cooking since age 13. She ran her own children’s theater company for over 15 years in New York City, performing at over 200 schools, libraries and museums each year. She took a few years off to pursue her passion for the kitchen and graduated from the New York Restaurant School. Since then she has taken her theatrical talent and passion for food and moved to the west coast to follow her dream by working with upscale caterers and fastpaced cafes while teaching cooking classes. Joy has worked on NBC’s Saturday Night Live and is a published food writer and photographer. Yet her favorite review comes from Brian Larkin, Age 8: “No wonder they call you Joy, you make everybody happy.”

Please contact Customer Service at 425.462.1400 ext. 0 and ask to register for a class in Salud! or click on the "register now" button which will direct you to acteva.com, our online sign-up service.
Sold Out Classes
To be added to the waiting list for a sold out class, call 425.462.1400 ext. 0 and specify the class, date and number of students to be added to the waiting list.
Cancellations
To cancel a class please contact Customer Service at 425.462.1400 ext. 0. Seven days notice is appreciated, but a full refund will be credited if you cancel within 48 hours prior to the day of the class. Any cancellations within 24 hours of the class or faxed into the store will not be honored.
If a class has an insufficient number of participants, it will be cancelled 24 hours prior to the start of the class. Salud! Coordinator will contact you by phone regarding the cancellation. You will receive a full credit or refund for the class.

All classes are demonstration style unless noted "hands-on". Demonstration classes are limited to 14 registered students and "Sunday Family Dinners" are also limited to 14. Kid's Classes are limited to 10 children, with parental supervision required. Ages allowed will vary depending on the type of class."
